ADTEC LCD Pattern Checker (LPC-500H)
The LCD pattern checker makes a high speed inspection of short and open between the patterns formed on a glass board by a tracing method. Employment of the tracing method will eliminate the preparation of jigs to be made for each type of the board, thus making it possible to inspect multiple printed panel such as portable phone and PDA terminals
Features
1. High speed measurement of the multiple printed panels
Sweeping is provided to the board in constant speed free from any effect due to the number of the printed panels. Therefore, there is no delay in the inspection time no matter the number of printed panels or lines increases. This pattern checker is suitable to the measurement of the portable phone with many printed panels or middle and small sized multiple printed panels of PDA terminals.
2. Jigless inspection and Easier setting-up
Setting up can be made just by re-arranging the needle holder, which eliminates the jig preparation for each subsitute, resulting in a cost reduction after pattern checker has once been introduced
3. Simultaneous measurement of open and short, and detection of X, Y short position
Simultaneous measurement of open and short can be available depending on the needle holder arrangement. Since the detection of short X and Y positions becomes available, repairing work becomes easier also.
* In some cases measuring condition is limited depending on the shape of work.
4. Needle holder applicable to high density pattern pitch
The needle holder deemed a core of the pattern checker of the tracing type equipped with a mechanism, a fruit of our own know-how, has been doing stable measurement of the fine pitched board and coping with a scratch to a very delicate board such as color filter one.
5. Various linkage to laser repair machine (Optional)
Inspection results measured by the tester are not only shown on the monitor but printed out and saved to FD. Installation of PC for repair data editing, and output can also be made through RS-232C/LAN network. Linkage to various laser repair machine can be applicable to meet customers' requirements.
Inspection Example
The example shows simultaneous measurement of short of the segment and common pattern combined.
Pattern A is inspected with three (3) needle holders placed on the pattern A line (a). After the inspection the board rotates 90 degrees, the holder slide moves (b) , and the pattern B is inspected (c) with six (6) needle holders arranged for the pattern B.
By increasing the tester channel to 15ch, batch inspection of 15 rows can be made given that the measurement is one time for short inspection only.
